CIVIMAX: Privacy Policy

CIVIMAX is a single-player game by Bolodad Games. This policy covers the Android app, the desktop versions and the web version.

What we collect

CIVIMAX has no account, no ads and no third-party SDKs that collect data. The only data that ever leaves your device is optional gameplay data, and only if you say yes, and any feedback message you choose to send.

The first time you open the game it asks whether you want to share gameplay data. Nothing is sent before you answer, and if you say no, nothing is sent, ever. If you say yes, the game sends anonymous gameplay events to our own server so we can see where players spend their time and where the game is too hard or too slow:

• progress events (act and stage reached, upgrades bought, minigames and events played, time spent active or idle);
• technical details (game version, platform, language, whether it is the phone version, frame rate);
• a random installation ID created on your device, so sessions from the same game can be grouped;
• your country, derived from the connection by our network provider (Cloudflare).

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, precise location, advertising ID or any account information. Your IP address is used only for a short-lived rate limit in memory and is not stored.

How we use and keep it

Gameplay data is used only to improve the game. It is sent encrypted (HTTPS), stored on a server we run ourselves, never sold and never shared with third parties. It is deleted after 180 days.

Feedback you send

The Feedback button in the game sends the message you type to our own server, with where you are in the game (act and stage), the game version, platform, language and your country (from Cloudflare). This works whether or not you share gameplay data. If you do share gameplay data, the message also carries your random installation ID, so we can see it next to your play. Please don't put personal details in it. Messages are kept for 180 days and treated like gameplay data.

Your choices

You can turn sharing on or off at any time in Options › Privacy on the title screen, or in the Settings of each act. Delete my data in the same place erases everything we stored for your installation (feedback linked to it included) and starts a new random ID. Uninstalling the app also stops any sharing.

Your save

Your progress and settings are saved only on your device, inside the app's own storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them. We cannot see or recover them.

Permissions

The Android app uses vibration (short haptic feedback, can be turned off), keeps the screen awake while you play, and uses the internet only to send the optional gameplay data and the feedback described above. The game plays fully offline. It does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.

Purchases

Buying the game, and any free trial, is handled by Google Play under Google's own privacy policy. We receive no payment details.

Children

CIVIMAX is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
